The Thunderbird Collective exists to support Indigenous leadership in wildland fire management through advocacy, knowledge sharing, cultural practice, and sovereignty. Rooted in traditional teachings and guided by the understanding that fire brings balance, the Collective brings together Indigenous fire practitioners, Knowledge Carriers, Elders, and youth to advance Indigenous-led fire stewardship. Through collaboration, we work to create safer, more resilient communities while upholding Indigenous rights, revitalizing land-based practices, and strengthening Nationhood.
